I knew it! The Jeffersonians were stalling and waiting at the last minute to address the Sovereign Schuld of the US. This goes to show that they were stalling long enough to get a deal about the Debt Ceiling. It looks like I will not be talking about the Debt Ceiling until two years from now. Then again, I am not surprised that it had to come down to this as there are plenty of other policy issues that they could have addressed, but never bothered to do so for whatever reason.
