Assuming nothing suddenly changes my schedule today, my plan is to write a Blog post or two for The Fourth Estate. It has been a while since I last spoke about Hamiltonianism in some serious length and I would also like to discuss an important observation regarding its Pluralist and Religious tendencies. Can we envisage an America where there exists a plurality of Non-Liberal Ideologies, where Americans voluntarily pick and choose their political-economic views?
Currently, I live in an America where it is normal for Americans to pick and choose whatever tenets of any and every religion as long as it is conducive to their spiritual growth. People occasionally switch religions and do not always feel compelled to attend religious services. New religious groups or denominations tend to crop up by the dozens every few decades or so. We tolerate these behaviors as something conducive to promoting Freedom of Conscience.
America would be a far more interesting place if something similar actually occurred in political-economic life. People pick and choose aspects of different Ideologies as long as it adheres to their values, beliefs, and perspectives. They do not always have to vote for the same two Factions of the same Democratic-Republican Party, instead forming their own political parties and even Ideologies as they see fit. Every Ideology unaffiliated with Neoliberalism tolerated under the Freedom of Conscience because they are consistently united by something loftier and grander than by the sum of their constituencies.
