  1. Hello DAH,
I just wanted to wish a early Merry Christmas and see how you have been doing since it has been almost a month since we last spoke. I hope everything is going well for you and your having a good holiday. I have still been writing about my personals thoughts on the situation in Gaza and everything surrounding it. Personally I’ve come to the conclusion that the IDF will not be able to take the whole Strip as Hamas and other militants groups have halted the Israeli advance for the last few weeks and they have continued to infiltrate areas of Gaza that are held by the IDF. I think the IDF could be pulling out in a month or 2 at the max especially if causalities continue to rise and very little progress is made territorially or to free the hostages through military means. Not to mention international pressure to end the conflict. If Israel fails to occupy Gaza this time I think it will put the long term existence of Israel in question especially if normalization talks do not come back with Saudi Arabia. I have written so far 20 essays ranging from what was discuss above to geo political divide in the Middle East on the conflict to the American divide, to essays on Neo-Cons/ Neo-Libs like Christopher Hitchens, Henry Kissinger, and Will Hurd to Hezbollah’s parallel institutions and its coalition building skills to critiques of Christian Zionism to Radical Liberals who praise Bin Laden. I am also thinking about maybe doing an essay on the Project For A New American Century and including some essays by Antoun Saadeh the founder of the SSNP to disprove that the Palestinian struggle is slowly an Muslim one and to disprove that myth that SSNP is a Hitlerite group. Perhaps the last two would be to much since I already will have 20 essays without them but your thoughts and any other ideas you have would be appreciated. Are their any major essay ideas you have for your blog at the moment? Hope to hear from you soon.

    • Merry Christmas Albino Squirrel,

I am doing well at the moment. My only issue lately is trying to find employment opportunities. People kept claiming there are plenty of them being open, but the vast majority are either in healthcare, hospitality and leisure, followed by some positions in certain state or local governments. Getting an actual job that isn’t fake or with ambiguous pay is becoming a pipe dream these days. It annoys me that nothing is being done about what is clearly a worsening issue for a lot of people.

With regard to Israel, you might be into something. I think Russia, America, and the Arab world are watching Israel more closely than they had been in past decades. In America’s case, we are already witnessing the signs of an unwillingness to intervene, especially as the Ukraine conflict is still draining resources and who knows what China has planned for Taiwan.

I am totally looking forward to what you have to say on the matter. Hopefully, I will find the time to follow up on these trends like in the old days.

      Signed,

      • DAH,

Yes I heard job market is not the best right now either that just pretty much confirms it to me. Perhaps will become a little better next year since its an election year and Biden will be trying to get reelected. So maybe a few more jobs will open up. Hope you will be able find something and are holding up okay.

Regards to Geo-politics no doubt the Multipolar World is emerging and I think we maybe seeing some changes in US foreign policy as the current Neo-Con/ Neo-lib module is not working.

I will be also looking forward for what you have store for your blog for this coming year.

      • Albino Squirrel,

Yeah, I am hoping that 2024 will be better, but it’s too early to say things are going to improve anytime soon. I’ll just keep working with my headhunter and work something out with them after Christmas.

Either way, I am willing to believe that my personal experiences and your observations are related. Why else would the economic prospects be so terrible if they are in hindsight the signs of actual geopolitical decline? Have you considered that possibility?

I’m still going to keep posting on my Blog, but it’s going to be less frequent. A post per week is probably the most I am going to do at this point.

No doubt Geo-political decline is playing a role with economic decline due to free trade and economic globalization in general. I believe I’ve mention it in a previous essays and one I’m currently writing. But to add on to this were not only going see a possible foreign policy change but an economic one to be more efficient in this new multipolar world. It could be our traditional protectionists economy like what Hamilton envision. Which we are seeing signs of with Trump during his presidency reintroducing tariffs and Biden signing the CHIPS Act. It could also be a more radical economic change that will reshape the American Republic as we know it. But I bet next year we will have a better understanding on were the country is going. Either way change is needed and I think everyone knows it.

There’s no doubt that the vast majority of Americans our age, from high school to university graduates, know that something is inherently wrong with the country. Many would like to see things change for the better, but there is so much beyond our control that I totally empathize with others more frustrated than I am about their economic prospects. Even the ones who chose the supposedly “safe” fields like engineering, law or accounting are finding out the hard way upon graduation despite almost everything going in their favor.

Since the employment prospects for the Federal Government are so abysmal to the point of bewilderment, there’s no doubt that America’s economic prospects are going to have to change. If you think the military offers a decent chance to get by, you would be sorely mistaken because their new healthcare system is keeping potential recruits from enlisting or commissioning. Seriously, you’ve got to look into why the military’s new MHS Genesis is preventing that. It’s outrageous.

Moreover, I am also not expecting the “private sector” to address any of this, especially when so many remain unable or unwilling to train anyone from outside their industry. They only expect people to already have the “experience” and “skills,” which is hardly guaranteed.

Overall, we’ll have to wait for what the rest of the 2020s have to offer. I don’t know how desperate our generation is willing to demand change, but it’s becoming an increasingly common sentiment nowadays.
