A Belated, Yet Important Update

Got some very serious news to report for the Blog. The past several months has seen me actively search for employment offline, which I had achieved my goal this month. Without describing the nature of the position in question, all I can say is that I was halfway from achieving my own Vocation (to borrow that sacred term from The Work-Standard). Therefore, my opportunities to write anything for The Fourth Estate are going to be tremendously limited starting in 2024.

When I originally started the Blog in 2020, I expected to spend most of my free time compiling and posting all of my research from the 2010s on the Work-Standard. I had no idea how long it was going to take me when I decided to fully commit to it in 2021. Everything I wrote in 2021 was later expanded and improved upon throughout 2022 and earlier this year. As I had pointed out a few months ago, I had finally completed assembling all of my research into four Treatises, and I had no intentions of writing a fifth Treatise anytime soon. At best, I might go back and upload newer editions of The Third Place, Work-Standard Accounting Practices, and The Digital Realm, however their second editions will only be proofread and reformatted. None of them suffered from the same fate as The Work-Standard, which I considered truly ‘finished’ upon the completion of the Third Edition back in late July.

My recent trend of reposting content from other WordPress blogs was just a stopgap measure to compensate for the fact that I had reached the end of my 2010s research. As much I would like to keep the Blog active, having to repost content from elsewhere does not suit the purposes of The Fourth Estate. It was not the reason why I started the Blog in the first place.

Going into 2024, all I can do now is focus on writing on any related topics that deserve to be written over the weekends. I am expecting to only write one or two posts per week, which will not include the usual Update posts. If I happen to write more than two for whatever reason, I will just save them for next week, and announce them as usual. Unlike my research into the Work-Standard from the 2010s, these future posts can wait. The same will also be true for anything that I may write for Gio at Beautiful Monsters, who prefers posting my writing once per month.
